Slow stitching on Sunday

I cross stitched several evenings last week and have a bit more done on my Quaker Diamonds.

See those little birds - I love their top knots - and I got that small diamond motif on the left hand side finished too.

And then a new graph somehow entered my house. I swear that Paypal just orders these things while I'm not looking. Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it -LOL! But I'm glad someone ordered this sweet graph cause I LOVE it!

This is Sarah's Garden from With Thy Needle and Thread. I'm using DMC floss and the linen is a 30 ct Glen Elyn blend I found in my stash. The linen is a soft light olive-y green. Now I did make some substitutions. I made her a red head and gave her blue eyes so she looks more like a certain Carol than maybe a Sarah. I also changed the color of her dress to 926 - my favorite DMC blue. I'm enjoying this stitching. I call it coloring book stitching, since I can outline an area and then go back and fill it in and not have to think at all! Very relaxing.

Well it is going to be a busy week - I'm already booked to be out of the house 2 days and there is Halloween candy to be passed out (if I don't eat it all before Wednesday) and the run of the mill weekly obligations. Hopefully there will be bits and pieces of time to sew and knit.

Happy stitching-
carol fun

It sure will be a busy week. We are visiting with our grandsons so we can share Halloween with them. I can't find the Halloween treats. I think they are hidden lol

The new stitching is adorable. Hmmm red hair, blue eyes...feisty temperament, gosh, who could that be! :)

I have been hit by the stitching bug as of late, too. I hope to update the blog in a few days with some stitchy pics, too.
