Christmas socks

Finished just in time - Christmas socks for me!

If you enlarge the picture you can see a bit more clearly that the yarn is red with pink and white. My niece bought this yarn - it was Stroll from Knitpicks - I forget the name and lost the ball band.  My niece didn't like the pink in it and gave it to me. Now it is a good thing that I don't like matching socks because these two skeins knitted up very differently. The first one has narrow stripes that remind me of a candy cane, but the second one ended up with wide swathes of the red alternating with the pink and white. Personally I like the second sock best. I love when yarns pool and flash. I wish both socks came out like this one, but either way it is certainly a festive pair of socks.

Happy knitting-
carol fun
