A sunny Slow Stitching Sunday...yeah!!!

Rain rain rain rain rain rain.... go away... which it did today... but it is back for next week...ugh!!! I knew it would rain tomorrow... or be really cold...why do I know this?  Because it is Opening Day for my beloved Cincinnati Reds... Opening Day is a REALLY BIG DEAL in Cincinnati... we have a parade and every news organization covers it like a blanket... kids skip school and adults are suddenly taken ill and can't go to work... hmmmm.... I LOVE Opening Day because hope springs eternal in my heart that this year will be our year...even though I'm pretty sure it will be just like last year, and that wasn't our year either. Oh well, a clean slate to start!!

And now that I got that out of my system, on to Slow Stitching Sunday! A little progress was made on my Little House Needleworks "Needlework ABC's"... I'm at the half way point...

Excuse the wrinkles... I'm trying to distract you with that adorable little chick... it is part of a salt and pepper set I picked up at Cracker Barrel... can't resist a yellow polka dot chicken!!

And speaking of yellow (isn't that a great segue??) notice that I made the house yellow instead of white... I live in a little yellow brick house ...with an olive green front door... so this is my house...although my house doesn't have 4 floors... a minor difference, right??

I stopped late last night and the Nee will become Needles...perhaps this afternoon. I have some cooking to do for dinner tonight... lasagna is on the menu... and I have a pair of jeans to hem for my son...

I'll link to Kathy's Quilts today and Super Mom - No Cape tomorrow... now time to rap this up... I know you've been on the edge of your seat...what you haven't been?  Well I have as the Dude commandeered my chair and I've written this whole post with my butt perched on that 3" of seat cushion behind his back that he left me...which did nothing to improve my sciatica... sheesh... what we do for our pets!

happy stitching-

Opening Day for the Red Sox tomorrow is our big deal...they are playing the Pirates...it'll be SO COLD at Fenway with that wind off the river--yikes--I will be sitting in my cozy home with the remote at the ready ;)))lol
I like your little stitchery--so cute--love the yellow house. I never learned how to do counted cross stitching...just x-stitching and regular embroidery, but I always love their patterns...hugs, Julierose

  4. Sorry about the rain! Love your changes to the stitchery, really sweet colors. Hmm, at my house I have no compunction moving an animal who sleeps 16 hours a day, lol!

  7. Your little yellow S&P treasure from Cracker Barrel is cute -- glad she made the post! I love that your personalized your house and made it yellow like the one from your childhood -- very sweet! Dude cracks me up ... especially since that's the name my five-year-old granddaughter has given to her "imaginary husband". Dude. It CRACKS me up to hear her talk about him! LOL! Have a GREAT week ahead! :)

  8. Oh my goodness, this just cracked me up. I have a Cocker Spaniel who thinks that ANY place that I am is exactly the place she needs to be--- literally!! I can't tell you how many times I have had body parts hanging over the edge of something in order to accommodate that sweet dog. I love, love your LHN alphabet piece.

  14. At least your rain isn't snow. (That's what we've been getting these past few days.)

Your sampler is coming along nicely. The yellow house goes so well with the sampler colours and the chick!

  19. We had some sun this weekend but I got soaked on the way home from my walk today. What's the saying... April showers bring May flowers... well we should have acres of flowers come May!

Your Alphabet sampler is so pretty! I like that you changed the color of the house to match your own.

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's Stitchery Link Party and for the link back. Aloha hugs!
