It's beginning to look a little like Christmas on Design Wall Monday

I was able to get a bit of sewing time in and finished putting together all the blocks for my Twister quilt.

The fabric is Aspen Frost by Basic Grey. Great vintage-y looking prints and I love the olive/aqua/red color combination. I added that yellow-y green-y gold outer piece. It isn't in the collection but is another one of those Basic Grey Grunge fabrics and I love.
With the outside borders this should measure about 75" square and will look lovely in my living room this holiday season - can't wait to display it!

Here's a close up of some of the fabrics.

Have you had a chance to check out the photos from the Houston Fall Quilt Market on the Jolly Jabber blog? You can see them here. I love getting an advance look at the upcoming fabric lines but I will say it makes me want them NOW! LOL - I have no patience. There is a new line by Gina Martin called "Sewing Box" -- love the colors and the graphics. And Sandy Klop's newest collection of American Jane, "Ducks in a Row" is calling my name.

Hope we all have productive weeks!
Happy stitching-

  2. Beautiful Twister quilt, Carol. Did you use a layer cake? The grunge yellow gold is perfect.

The fabric we're using for Baby Sister's nursery is by Gina Martin. I really like her style.
