Something wooly on Wednesday

I finished knitting this shawl a while ago,but I only got it blocked last week. I really don't like to block, but boy what a difference it makes.

This pattern is Shaelyn - you can find it here on Ravelry. I've knitted this pattern 3 or 4 times and I know I'll knit it again. It is an easy lace pattern.

The yarn is Noro Taiyo. I love the colors of Noro but the thick and thin part is annoying.

The weather has turned colder and I have 3 more shawls that need to be blocked. Hopefully the chance to wear them will motivate me to get them blocked.

Happy stitching-

  1. I love that, Carol! I have been crocheting (can't knit very well) infinity scarves and they are turning out well. Have ordered some yarn online and some is Noro -that is gorgeous stuff but expensive. Anxious for it to get here. So many fun things to do!! Carol

  6. As a non-knitter, this amazes me. It's so pretty! I'm not sure what blocking is but it sounds like my distaste for basting a quilt, a necessary evil if you want to get to the good stuff!

  7. Super gorgeous -- pattern and yarn. My friend was over yesterday sporting her new shawl -- very similar in pattern and color too.

  8. The colors on the 2nd pictures are just beautiful. I have never worn a shawl, but if they looked as pretty as yours, I surely would like to. I'm always cold in the house and wear many layers, maybe I should try one??
