Where does the weekend go? I did get a bit of knitting in and finished the first aqua lace sock and started it's mate - no second sock syndrome with this pretty yarn. And I stitched up the back for the quilt top I'm taking to the guild meeting tomorrow night. (I'll show pics of the top tomorrow.) And I went fabric shopping on Saturday and that was lots of fun, so I see now where the weekend went.
My sampler pick for today is a springy one. I didn't think I had any samplers with bunnies but my memory isn't what it use to be and I found several. I think this one is a Sheepish Design. And you can tell by the date it was a loooong time ago.
I like the strawberry vines and the wildlife in this piece.
Pretty little birds at the top and a cheeky bunny and the squirrel at the bottom out for a romp. (Oh I am poetic today - LOL!) Nice soft colors and a pretty little sampler to celebrate a pretty day in the neighborhood.
Well I'm off to get ready to go to dinner and then I'm going to Music Hall for a concert with my niece. Its going to be a busy busy week. Guild meeting is tomorrow night and the International Quilt Association show opens this week in my hometown, Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm going to preview party on Thursday evening and plan to be there when it the doors open on Friday for a day of shopping. I'm really excited to see how the show looks here. I visited Chicago a couple of years ago for the show but I have to say that Chicago traffic intimidates me. We don't have traffic like that in Cincinnati and since I've lived here most of my life I know my way around a lot better. Are you going to the show? I'll be looking forward to hearing what your impressions are of the show and the city.
Happy stitching-
carol fun
