Have you seen the Another Year of Schnibbles on Pink Pincushion and A Quilting Life? This month they are doing the Little Bites pattern Whit which uses 2 1/2" squares. I decided I wanted to use some Halloween fabrics and here is what I have so far.
There are 60 different Halloween fabrics most of which I fussy cut... yes I am nuts...and I am soooo good at making a project as complicated as it possibly can be - LOL!
Here is a close-up of some of my favorites - bats and candy corn and spiders and spider webs and that mummy make me smile!
Now for this project I cut into my special Halloween fabric that I've been saving for a very special project ... I have about 4 yards of this spider web fabric on yellow and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
This fabric was a gift from my BFF Stephie and I've been thinking for over a year about how to best use it and I think I've come up with a plan. I like making these flying geese but not this small - the ones for Whit will finish 1" X 2". I think flying geese that finish about 2 1/2" by 5" would be perfect... like these.
I have no business working on this project as I have several other projects that are half finished. Well, it will be in good company when it ends up in a plastic bin.
happy stitching-
carol fun
