The weather today is beautiful - sunny, dry, no humidity, temps in 80's- and I spent some time sitting in my screen porch doing some cross stitching. I needed to work on something that didn't require me to make any decisions - just relaxing handwork. And here is my offering for Sampler Sunday - one of my larger samplers and it is from Drawn Thread.
This was charted as a game board with alternating squares being faced in opposite directions but I stitched mine to all face the same way.
I love all the different houses and motifs. This piece is stitched on a lovely piece of pale aqua linen with either DMC or Anchor flosses, I don't remember which.
Of course I have several cross stitch projects going - a small BBD piece and the new Mystery Sampler by With Thy Needle and Thread. I haven't finished part 1 yet and part 2 is available this week. I saw the little sneak peek and there is a bluebird and a tree so I think I'll like it a lot.
Hope your week includes lots of crafty time - happy stitching!

Great sampler! I love all the little houses and that you stitched it all right side up. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteHi Carol, your cross stitch is beauiful, love it. I have just completed a small cross stitch and combined it with fabric. I thought it turned out quite well...mind you I am not sure what to do with it now. Siobhan :)
